What WEAX Is All About
WEAX is Trine University’s own fully licensed 1000-watt non-commercial radio station. Operating out of deluxe studios in the new University Center, WEAX is changing the face of modern college radio. Need proof? Here are the facts:
- Like the Millennium Falcon, WEAX made the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs
- WEAX invented instant hand sanitizer
- In 1983 WEAX was asked to replace John Lennon on a Beatles reunion tour. WEAX turned them down to devote more time to preparing for the 1984 Olympics.
- In 1986 WEAX won first place at the famed Northeast Indiana Mr. Hot Buns competition
- WEAX knows what Willis was talking about.
- WEAX holds a doctoral degree in Japanese Architecture.
- If placed end-to-end, WEAX’s awesomeness would wrap around the world 3 times!
- The 2 large X’s in the WEAX studios grant eternal life to all who gaze upon them.
As you can see WEAX is not your ordinary college radio station. And we’re not done making the world a more awesomer place. College radio is the last bastion of true independence on the airwaves and we take that responsibility seriously. In fact, it’s about the only thing we take seriously.
